Man and Woman Robbed At Gunpoint Near Western Cemetary in St. Thomas

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — Police said a man and a woman were robbed at gunpoint near Western Cemetary on Friday night, according to the Virgin Islands Police Department.

According to the victim, he and a female friend were robbed at gunpoint by an unknown black male individual while in the area of the Western Cemetery.

The man said that the robber took his gold chain valued at $500, $70 cash, and about $100 cash from the woman, the VIPD said.

The robber then fled the area of the incident on foot, according to the victims. 

The case is currently under active investigation by Criminal Investigation Bureau.
