St. Croix’s David Diaz Accused Of Raping Woman Who Took A Catnap At A Party In Mutual Homes
ACCUSED RAPIST: David Diaz
FREDERIKSTED — A partygoer overstayed his welcome at a Grove Place housing community and used overtime in the apartment to rape a woman who had taken a catnap to unwind after some catnip, according to police.
On Monday November 14, 2016, at approximately 1:10p.m., 911 Emergency Call Center received a call of a Rape in the First Degree, in the Mutual Homes housing community in Estate Grove Place; Officers arrived at the scene and made contact with the victim.
The victim stated that she had a social gathering at her apartment with several friends. She then stated that after the gathering she went to her bedroom to take a nap and unexpectedly this individual was on top of her and raped her; as she repeatedly told the individual to stop.
While the Officers were on the scene the suspect then returned and was immediately arrested.
35-year-old David Diaz was arrested and charged for Rape in the first degree, he was remanded to the Golden Grove Detention Facility pending his advice of rights hearing. The victim was transported to the Juan F. Luis Hospital for Medical treatment.
