PEDAL TO THE METAL: Police Commish Delroy Richards Sr. Shows He Is Serious About Catching The East End STT Rapist
SOLEMN VOW: “I will leave no stone un-turned until I catch the East End rapist who has been running rings around my local police force in Rock City on 31.14 square miles of real estate and making us look like keystone kops!”–Police Commissioner Delroy Richards Sr.
CHARLOTTE AMALIE — The Virgin Islands Police Department doubled down on catching the elusive East End rapist who has eluded capture by erstwhile law enforcement professionals for months in St. Thomas.
Crime Stoppers USVI is in receipt of an anonymous reward of $10,000.00 allocated for information leading to the arrest of the rapist reported in the East End, St. Thomas USVI.
This community reward is in addition to the maximum reward of $2,500.00 offered by Crime Stoppers. If you have information regarding this case, please contact Crime Stoppers VI at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or visit www.crimestoppersvi.org , The Criminal Investigation Bureau Domestic Violence Unit at (340) 774-2211 0r 911.
The VIPD told the Virgin Island Cuntsortium exclusively on Feb. 8 that it continues to actively investigate the rapes that occurred in the vicinity of eastern St. Thomas.
Gov. Kenneth Mapp is personally heavily invested in supporting the St. Kitt’s V.I. Consortium — all Virgin Islands government advertising goes to that Basseterre-based media exclusively … as per his orders.
Police are following up on numerous leads and have increased both visibility and patrols in the Red Hook, Frydenhoj and Nazareth area in an effort to capture the individual or individuals responsible for committing these senseless acts of violence against women. Officers are also circulating an FBI sketch of the suspect, but urge residents not to dismiss suspicious behavior from someone that does not match the description released by VIPD.
“People wanted for questioning by law enforcement often make an effort to change their appearance,” VIPD Commissioner Delroy Richards said. “The bottom line is that these attacks happened in a relatively small area and I’m quite certain that someone has a very good idea of who may be responsible. I urge those with information to come forward immediately.”
At this time, investigators have no evidence linking the Cruz Bay rape reported late Friday to the three assaults on St. Thomas.
The suspect that is believed to be responsible for the rapes on St. Thomas is described as a Black male, approximately 5ft. 5in, between 18 – 25 years of age, 150 lbs., Caribbean accent, slim build, no beard, flat nose, closely shaven head, slight mustache, seen wearing a black t-shirt, white basketball pants and black and white Adidas flip flops.
If you have any information regarding these incidents please contact the Department at 340-774-2211 or the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-714-9807. You can also remain anonymous by contacting Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-8477 or dial 911.
