Police Say Former V.I. Olympic Boxer Jacobo Garcia Is Wanted For Punching/Assaulting Family Member

FREDERIKSTED — Police are asking for your help today to locate a St. Croix man who they say punched and assaulted a family member.

Jacobo Garcia, 44, of Anna’s Hope is wanted on a charge of third-degree assault, according to the Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD).

Police said that Garcia stands about 5-feet,9-inches tall, weighs about 180 pounds, has black hair, a brown skin complexion and a mustache. He is a former professional boxer and is known to frequent the Anna’s Hope and Profit areas of St. Croix.

According to Go To St. Croix dot com, Garcia represented the Virgin Islands at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.
