Three Masked Men Holdup Drug Mart At Closing And Leave With Cash Register

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — Three armed masked men entered a Sugar Estate drug store after closing time and robbed the store of its cash.

Police said the owner of Drug Mart on Ninth Street told them that he was leaving through the rear exit of the store about 8:04 p.m. on Wednesday when the three men entered with handguns.

The owner fled the store immediately, but stayed nearby and observed the men leaving the store carrying the cash register.

The man did not say how much money the three robbers got, but said he noticed that they drove away in an SUV.
