Six Cars Stolen From Thrifty Car Rentals In St. Thomas By Thieves Using A Blowtorch

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — On Tuesday, August 8, 2017 officers traveled to investigate an unauthorized use of a vehicle that occurred at an unknown time at Dollar-Thrifty Car Rental, St. Thomas.

Police made contact with an employee who stated that four vehicles were removed from the property.

  An All Point Bulletin (APB) was then immediately place on the missing vehicles.

On Wednesday, August 9, 2017 the Criminal Investigation Unit traveled to Dollar-Thrifty to follow up, and discovered that two  more vehicles were taken on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 along with the previously mentioned four.

The case is currently under active investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
