CHARLOTTE AMALIE — The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said it will cut power to portions of Bolongo Bay on St. Thomas “to upgrade the transmission and distribution system” beginning tomorrow morning.

On Friday, June 22, and again on Monday, June 25, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, customers in Bolongo Bay, on a portion of Feeder 10B, will experience an electrical service interruption, according to WAPA.

On Friday, approximately 12 customers will be affected, while approximately 35 on Monday will be affected, while crews install primary wires in the area to upgrade the transmission and distribution system, WAPA said.

“Motorists traversing the area where work is being performed are asked to proceed with caution, and adhere to traffic directions, for the safety of crews and other drivers,” the quasi-governmental authority said.
