Gov. Mapp Attends Thorvald McIntosh and Gerard Alphonso Hall – Awards Banquet

CHRISTIANSTED — Governor Kenneth Mapp said that he “has lauded efforts to recognize past and present athletes from the greater Virgin Islands.”

Speaking at the 6th annual Thorvald McIntosh and Gerard Alphonso Hall Sports Award Dinner on St. Croix on Saturday.

Governor Mapp commended the awards committee, which he said “has helped and honored sports persons in athletics, baseball, basketball, bowling, car racing, martial arts, horse racing, softball, swimming and volleyball.”

“The efforts of this sports awards committee has not gone unnoticed by a grateful and encouraging community. Their admirable works are to be applauded and should be emulated by others,” Mapp said.
