POLICE: St. Croix’s Allan Brady III Arrested For Allegedly Shooting At Woman’s Car in Mon Bijou

FREDERIKSTED — A St. Croix man who fired gunshots at a moving vehicle in Mon Bijou and shot out the rear side window earlier this year is now in police custody.

Allan Brady III, 32, turned himself in to police detectives about 8:49 a.m. on Tuesday and was served with an arrest warrant charging him with first-degree reckless endangerment, unauthorized possession of a firearm, aiming and discharging a firearm and possession of ammunition, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

Police said the shooting incident took place on February 24, 2018 and they first became aware of it when a woman came in to the Wilbur Francis Command police station at about 10:15 a.m. and “reported that someone fired several gunshots at her vehicle in Estate Mon Bijou,” according to VIPD spokesman Glen Dratte.

A police investigation into this incident revealed that Brady “stood in the middle of the roadway and aimed a hand gun at a moving vehicle and discharged several gunshots,” Dratte said.

The vehicle was struck damaging the rear side window. A search and arrest warrant was issued was by a Superior Court Magistrate for the arrest of Brady.

On September 18, 2018, at approximately 5:30 a.m., members of the Criminal Investigation Bureau and the Special Operation Bureau executed the Arrest and Search Warrant. But Brady was not at his residence.

Unable to post bail in the amount of $50,000.00, Brady was transported to the Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility where he was remanded pending an advice-of-rights hearing.
