VIWMA Says It’s Trying To Permanently Cease Bypass in Anna’s Retreat

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) advises the community of an ongoing bypass located at 392 Anna’s Retreat (Four Winds) in the vicinity of On the Run Service Station and Splash and Dash Car Wash.

The Authority and its contractor have installed a temporary pump around system to minimize the bypass; however, permanent repairs will be undertaken in the incoming weeks to cease the bypass.

The VIWMA advises residents to avoid standing water in the impacted area.

Additionally, the motoring public is asked to traverse with caution.

The VIWMA apologizes for the inconvenience and continues to work diligently to provide reliable service.

We would like to thank the community for their patience and cooperation.
