DPNR: Fort Christian And Turnbull Regional Library Will Open Late On Friday

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — The Department of Planning and Natural Resources said that the Charles Wesley Turnbull Regional Public Library and the Fort Christian Museum National Historic Landmark site will open late on Friday.

Each site will open Friday at 12:00 noon and close at 5:00 p.m., according to
DPNR Commissioner Designee Jean-Pierre Oriol.

The late opening is to allow DPNR staff to attend a celebration of life for their beloved co-worker, the late Anthony Casimir.

Casimir was a member of the DPNR family since July 9, 2013 and died after a brief illness on January 7 at the age of 66.

He was an exceptional and dedicated employee who worked with the Division of Libraries, Archives and Museums in the St. Thomas / St. John District.

Please note that this late opening will not affect access to other DPNR offices. All customers are asked to use the entrance on the first floor of the Library to visit other DPNR offices.

Commissioner Designee Oriol said he “apologizes for the inconvenience and thanks the public for their patience and understanding.”
