WAPA Says 81 Customers In Estate Cane-Cane Carlton Will Lose Power Tomorrow

FREDERIKSTED — Some 81 Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority (WAPA) customers in Estate Cane-Cane Carlton are scheduled to lose power tomorrow.

The customers who will be affected are on a portion of Feeder 8B, according to WAPA.

The authority said to expect at least “a four-hour electrical service interruption on Friday, February 1.”

WAPA said the outage is needed so crews can install new traffic light poles and arms at the William’s Delight intersection on the Melvin Evans Highway.

The WAPA service interruption is scheduled from 10 a.m to 2 p.m.
