Community Invited To Town Hall Meeting On Ins And Outs Of Marijuana Law Here

FREDERIKSTED — The Virgin Islands Police Department’s Grove Place Weed and Seed Program cordially invites you to participate in their Get to Know the Law on Marijuana” panel discussion on May 30th at the Eulalie Rivera Elementary School auditorium from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. 

The Virgin Islands Police Department Grove Place Weed and Seed is a community-based program that is dedicated to educating the community on laws that affects their well-being. It seeks to promote the importance of “building good character, community service, leadership, staying in school, and refraining from drugs, gangs, and alcohol.”

In this endeavor it continues to foster community pride in our residents as it provides them with meaningful information to improve their quality of life.

A panelist will give a brief overview of laws that governs us relative to marijuana usage and possession.

The floor will then be open to a question and answer segment.

The panelists includes members from the following agencies: 1. United States Attorney : 2. Virgin Islands Senator: 3. Virgin Islands Police Department 4. DEA High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area.

The VIPD said it would appreciate your involvement in this informative Town Hall meeting, as we are aiming to address the numerous issuespertaining to the use/possession of Marijuana.
