Traffic Stop Gets 18-Year-Old C’sted Man on Illegal Gun Charge

ST. CROIX – An 18-year-old Christiansted town man was arrested on an illegal gun possession charge after a routine traffic stop yesterday, according to the Virgin Islands Police Department.

Duval Briscoe of Queen Street was arrested at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday and charged with possession of an unauthorized firearm, the VIPD said.

Police said the traffic stop was conducted near the Church of God Holiness Academy in Estate Peter’s Rest.

Bail for Briscoe was set at $25,000.00. Unable to post bail, he was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his Advice of Rights hearing.
