Man Arrested For Burning Woman With Heated Pot

CHARLOTTE AMALIE – A 27-year-old Paul M. Pearson Gardens man was arrested on domestic violence and related charges this weekend, according to the Virgin Islands Police Department.

Joseph Alexander Lee of Estate Thomas was charged at 10:30 a.m. Saturday with second-degree assault-domestic violence, grand larceny, disobeying a lawful order, violation of a restraining order and possession of stolen property, the VIPD said.

Lee was arrested after having been positively identified by the woman he is accused of attacking with a heated metal pot, causing visible second-degree burns to the woman’s upper arm, according to police.

No bail was set for Lee as per the domestic violence statute. He was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending an Advice of Rights hearing.
