Man Arrested For Stealing Power Saw From Home Depot
CHARLOTTE AMALIE – Three people were arrested Saturday on charges ranging from grand larceny to assault and domestic violence, according to the Virgin Islands Police Department.
Below are the three people who were arrested, the VIPD said:
* On August 1, Clement Bruney, 51, of Anna’s Retreat, was arrested and charged with grand larceny at 1:40 p.m., after he allegedly went into the Home Depot, picked up a power saw valued at $250.00 and tried to leave without paying for it. Bail for Bruney was set at $35,000.00. Unable to post bail, he was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending an Advice of Rights hearing.
* On August 1, Venetia Fredericks, 39, of the Oswald Harris Court was arrested and charged with simple assault and battery-domestic violence at 2:20 p.m. after admitting to officers that she had punched a person in eye. Fredericks was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending an Advice of Rights hearing.
* On August 1, Francis Serieux, 42, of Estate Bovoni was arrested and charged with aggravated assault-domestic violence at 2:45 p.m., after having been positively identified by a woman as the person who had assaulted her with a belt and punched her in the face. Serieux was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending an Advice of Rights hearing.
