PAL End of Summer Blowout

FREDERIKSTED – The Frederiksted branch of PAL (Police Athletic League) held its End of Summer Blow-Out as the culmination of its 2015 Summer Camp activities in conjunction with National Night Out yesterday evening.

The End of Summer Blow-Out was held August 7 at PAL Headquarters located at #59 Estate Whim in Frederiksted, from 4 to 8 pm.

The event provided a glimpse into the activities conducted during the 2015 Summer Camp, with a display of the campers’ artwork, band performances and presentation of Participation Awards.

The Police Athletic League is an organization in many American police departments in which members of the police force coach young people, both boys and girls, in sports, and help with homework and other school-related activities, and the Frederiksted branch of PAL has served as a Safe Haven for children, who have needed a place to be during the hot days of June through early August.

The grounds of the PAL Headquarters in Estate Whim are where children are able to run free, unencumbered and build character under the guidance of Renholdt ‘Rookie’ Jackson, Director and retired V.I. Police Officer.

The End of Summer Blow-Out was held Friday evening from 4 to 8 p.m. with food and drink on sale.
