Daring Daylight Robbers Leave Main Street Jewelry Store With Cash and Jewelry

CHARLOTTE AMALIE – A Main Street jewelry store was robbed in broad daylight Monday morning and the daring robbers left the store with an undetermined amount of cash and jewelry, according to the Virgin Islands Police Department.

The 911 Emergency Call Center dispatched police at 11:42 a.m. Monday to 3G’S Jewelry & Repairs located along Store Tvaer Gade where a robbery was reported, the VIPD said.

Police responding to the scene received an update saying that two armed black men who were considered suspects had left the 3G’S Jewelry & Repairs and were walking in a westerly direction along Main Street towards Market Square, according to police.

One man was described as having a dark complexion while the other was said to have a light complexion, police said. Each man wore straw hats and were armed with handguns.

No one was harmed during the robbery, according to police. The two men fled the area with an undetermined amount of cash and jewelry.
