WET ONE! St. Croix Gets Nearly Three Inches of Rain Saturday

CHRISTIANSTED – Heavy rains drenched parts of St. Croix Saturday with nearly three inches of rain being recorded by the National Weather Service and a flash flood and rip current warnings remain in effect.

Rough seas and choppy waves of up to seven feet are to be expected in the Virgin Islands Sunday with St. Thomas and St. Croix under a “moderate to high risk of rip currents,” the NWS said.

The NWS recorded 2.73 inches of rain fell on St. Croix Saturday with parts of Gallows Bay, Grove Place and Frederiksted the worst affected.
