Conant Woman Arrested For Stabbing Husband With A Knife

CHARLOTTE AMALIE – A 29-year-old St. Thomas woman was arrested late Wednesday night after police said she stabbed her husband in the hand during a domestic dispute.

Elizabeth Veloz of Estate Conant was arrested about 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday and charged with third-degree assault-domestic violence, according to police.

Veloz was arrested after she struck her husband in the face, police said. As her husband pushed her out of their bedroom, Veloz used a kitchen knife to gain entry into the room and then stabbed him in his left hand causing serious injury.

Veloz was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections, pending an Advice of Rights hearing.
