Man Accused Of Shooting 10-Year-Old Boy With Pellet Gun In 2014 Arrested On Domestic Violence Charges


FREDERIKSTED – A 33-year-old St. Croix man was arrested domestic violence-related charges Wednesday night, according to the Virgin Islands Police Department.

Jonathan Santiago of Hannah’s Rest was arrested at 7:12 p.m. Wednesday and charged with second-degree assault-domestic violence, the VIPD said.

Police said Santiago was arrested after got into a fight with a woman, causing visible injuries.

Bail was set for Santiago at $100,000.00 at an advice of rights hearing today.

Unable to post bail, he was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections.

In August 2014, Santiago was accused along with 32-year-old Robin Thomas of shooting a 10-year-old boy with a pellet gun.
