Woman Attacked And Robbed In Downtown Charlotte Amalie Early Sunday Morning

CHARLOTTE AMALIE – A St. Thomas woman says she was attacked from behind and robbed of a gold chain early Sunday morning, according to the Virgin Islands Police Department.

The 911 Emergency Call Center alerted police at 7:50 a.m. Sunday that a robbery occurred near Kenia’s fashion on Kronprindsens Gade, the VIPD said.

According to the report, the woman said that as she headed up the stairs towards her residence, an unknown black man grabbed her 14 carat gold chain off of her from behind.

Police said that the woman also sustained a bruise to the head and cuts to her left knee after being pushed down by her attacker.
