You May Fold Under Pressure!

Our Delegate to Congress Stacey Plaskett recently delivered a knock out punch on Capital Hill. Department of Education spokesperson Danny Harris was undergoing grueling questioning from Congresswoman Plasket for over three hours.

Harris is involved in some sleazy financial operations such as corruption and tax fraud. To say that Harris folded under testimony
is an under statement. He was floored on the Congressional floor.

Literally! He collapsed right in the middle of his testimony.

Danny Harris came up with his own dance… It’s called the Department of Education Drop!

I’m not saying Harris faked it….

Uh, yes I am! He’s faking it! Come on folks!

We all remember when your parents used to beat you so bad that you would drop to the floor and make believe you were unconscience?

It’s called the sympathy drop.

Or the mommy please don’t whip my butt no more drop! By the way Mr. Harris is is stable condition.

So commissioners, senators, and governor beware!

When it comes to Delegate to Congress Stacey Plaskett, you just
might fold under questioning!

John McCarthy

John McCarthy is primarily known for his investigative reporting on the U.S. Virgin Islands. A series of reports beginning in the 1990's revealed that there was everything from coliform bacteria to Cryptosporidium in locally-bottled St. Croix drinking water, according to a then-unpublished University of the Virgin Islands sampling. Another report, following Hurricane Hugo in 1989, cited a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) confidential overview that said that over 50 percent of the U.S. Virgin Islands public lives below the poverty line. The Virgin Islands Free Press is the only Caribbean news source to regularly incorporate the findings of U.S. Freedom of Information Act requests. John's articles have appeared in the BVI Beacon, St. Croix Avis, San Juan Star and Virgin Islands Daily News. He is the former news director of WSVI-TV Channel 8 on St. Croix.
