Woman From Guyana Beats Wrong Woman By Accident In The BVI

BVI court house

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, BVI — A Guyanese woman who lives at Purcell Estate on Tortola, it appears, ended up beating the wrong woman she thought was having an affair with her male lover.

It turned out she actually beat a translator who, possibly unwittingly, was facilitating a love triangle. At the time she was attacked, BVI News Online understands, the translator was interpreting a letter the Guyanese woman’s lover had received from his Spanish-speaking paramour.

The translator, who was treated at Peebles Hospital, reported the beating to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) which launched an investigation.

The RVIPF, while not disclosing details of the case, yesterday reported that the 47-year-old Guyanese woman has been charged with assault causing actual bodily harm.
