Local GOP Cites Bill Clinton’s ‘Lolita Express’ Sex Trips To The Virgin Islands On Eve Of Speech In St. Croix

CHRISTIANSTED —Republican Party of the Virgin Islands chairman John Canegata on Sunday questioned the moral character of Bill and Hillary Clinton on the eve of the former president’s speech at Island Center on St. Croix.

“After being rejected by Democrats in 20 primary and caucus contests for a 74-year-old socialist who honeymooned in the Soviet Union, Hillary Clinton hopes Virgin Islanders will look the other way and ignore her long record of dishonesty and hypocrisy, including the cash-for-access scandals at the Clinton Foundation,” Canegata said.

Canegata’s comments come just hours before Bill Clinton is expected to headline a Democratic rally Monday on behalf of Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination.

“President Clinton should also come clean about his involvement with pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, as new records show he traveled on Mr. Epstein’s so-called ‘Lolita Express’ aircraft more than previously known,” he said.

New reports indicate President Clinton flew on Epstein’s aircraft on at least 26 occasions. The former president reportedly ditched his Secret Service detail—raising questions of just what occurred away from the eyes of law enforcement officers—on five of the trips, according to Canegata.

John McCarthy is primarily known for his investigative reporting on the U.S. Virgin Islands. A series of reports beginning in the 1990's revealed that there was everything from coliform bacteria to Cryptosporidium in locally-bottled St. Croix drinking water, according to a then-unpublished University of the Virgin Islands sampling. Another report, following Hurricane Hugo in 1989, cited a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) confidential overview that said that over 40 percent of the U.S. Virgin Islands public lives below the poverty line. The Virgin Islands Free Press is the only Caribbean news source to regularly incorporate the findings of U.S. Freedom of Information Act requests. John's articles have appeared in the BVI Beacon, St. Croix Avis, San Juan Star and Virgin Islands Daily News. He is the former news director of WSVI-TV Channel 8 on St. Croix.
