St. Thomas’ Hannah Davis Expected To Tie The Knot With Derek Jeter This Weekend

Derek Jeter and Hannah Davis
NAPA VALLEY — The Virgin Islands youngest and hottest celebrity is about to get married for the first time.
Supermodel Hannah Davis, 26, is expected to tie the knot with New York Yankees legend Derek Jeter this weekend.

There have been multiple reports that St. Thomas native Davis and the 42-year-old Jeter will be getting married over the July 4 holiday weekend, but Entertainment Tonight’s Kevin Frazier said those reports are premature.

The wedding will be happening soon in California’s Napa Valley and it will mostly be a family affair.

Davis, a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model who was the host of Project Runway: Junior in 2015, told Entertainment Tonight that she has already picked out her dress for the big day.

“Vera’s actually designing my dress, that’s why I was at the show today,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “Ever since I was little, I think it was the first bridal brand I even know, and I’ve been a fan of hers ever since and my heart was set on it. She was gracious enough to do it for me.”

One person who won’t be making Jeter’s wedding is former teammate Mariano Rivera.

The former Yankees closer told a New York newspaper that he will be in Italy with his family.

It is the first marriage for Jeter as well. He retired from the Yankees after the 2014 season.

A series of reports beginning in the 1990's revealed that there was everything from coliform bacteria to Cryptosporidium in locally-bottled St. Croix drinking water, according to a then-unpublished University of the Virgin Islands sampling. Another report, following Hurricane Hugo in 1989, cited a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) confidential overview that said that over 40 percent of the U.S. Virgin Islands public lives below the poverty line. The Virgin Islands Free Press is the only Caribbean news source to regularly incorporate the findings of U.S. Freedom of Information Act requests.
