1FirstBank Of Puerto Rico Sued By Whack-A-Doodle UVI Professor Chenzira Davis-Kahina

ONLY EMPLOYABLE AT UVI: Alleged Deadbeat UVI Professor Chenzira Davis-Kahina

The director of the “Caribbean Cultural Center at the University of the Virgin Islands,” facing foreclosure of her home by 1Firstbank Puerto Rico, decided she was not really “Chenzira Davis-Kahina” but actually “Royal Daughter Sat Yah” of the “Natural Sovereign Indigenous Nation of … Smai Tawi Ta-Neter-Awe.”

Davis-Kahina and her equally befuddlingly-named husband have sued 1First Bank for $190 million in federal court (and begun the flood of incomprehensible paperwork).

The couple’s law of “Maat” conveniently holds that attempts by federal marshals to seize their property would double the damages to $380 million.

Atlanta native David Hall is the president of the UVI and largely responsible for its tenured professors in St. Thomas and St. Croix.

Hall declined comment to the Virgin Islands Free Press.

John McCarthy

John McCarthy is primarily known for his investigative reporting on the U.S. Virgin Islands. A series of reports beginning in the 1990's revealed that there was everything from coliform bacteria to Cryptosporidium in locally-bottled St. Croix drinking water, according to a then-unpublished University of the Virgin Islands sampling. Another report, following Hurricane Hugo in 1989, cited a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) confidential overview that said that over 40 percent of the U.S. Virgin Islands public lives below the poverty line. The Virgin Islands Free Press is the only Caribbean news source to regularly incorporate the findings of U.S. Freedom of Information Act requests. John's articles have appeared in the BVI Beacon, St. Croix Avis, San Juan Star and Virgin Islands Daily News. He is the former news director of WSVI-TV Channel 8 on St. Croix.

Did you speak to this UVI Professor yourself? Have you even visited the VICCC at UVI? This is very disrespectful to the Virgin Islands curriculum & history as well as the Virgin Islands on a whole. Where did you get you information from pray tell? You are discrediting your ability to be objective.

Dr. Chen is a very knowledgeable and qualified strong woman. For you to call her outside of her name or belittle her by calling her whack a doodle. You have shown that your credentials as a journalist be considerably questioned. As for Dr. Kahina Chenzira Davis if she wants to be called her Royal Empress she can do so she has earned her right to be address by any name she chooses. As for her intelligence she does not have to prove that to you or no one else, she has many degrees go talk to her she might teach you something about professionalism and how to conduct a proper interview.

How unbelievably rude. Refusing to stay objective not only questions the story but your journalistic standards in general. Both sides of the story should be presented, did you try talking to her and asking for her side of the story? There’s many ways to make a situation look bad especially when you have incorrect information, questionable sources and overall lack of journalistic intelligence.

This article is, indisputably, one of the worst displays of journalistic integrity ever published. As an “award winning” writer you have violated almost every creed stipulated by the standards of the journalism code.
This biased piece of ‘garbage’ is an example of racist, culturally insensitive, opinionated JUNK that could only be published in your own “newspaper.”
The short-sighted mission of the VIfreepress and motives of your stories are questionable, at best, and I paraphrase you and title this post “McCarthy: ONLY EMPLOYABLE @HIS OWN PAPER – Alleged Deadbeat Writer.”

What unbelievably bad journalism. What award did this author win?
About us says McCarthy won an award and nothing else?
Do you have any credentials in Journalism?

    Factual errors abound.
How is Dr Hall in any way related to this story?
Why is the line about tenured faculty present, did you assume Dr.Davis-Kahina is tenured? Did you fact check?
Why is Dr Hall referred to as from Atlanta? How is that relevant?
    Did you fact check?
And where in your journalism training did you learn to call people by names “cock-a-doodle”… is this the 4th grade playground?

Did you happen to notice that 9 out of 10 of the most recent articles in this “news” media are about death.
There was an election. Did you bother to cover it?
WAPA made news this week with propane. Did you report it.
We held Veterans Dayevents to honor Purple Heart Veterans. Did you notice?
Or is the editor of this journal only interested in death and name calling.

You get F minus for Journalism 101. Take the class over again.

What kind of stupid news media is this?
