STT Man Is Carjacked Near Red Hook & Is Forced To Drive Home & Get More Cash

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — A shaken motorist told police that he had been the victim of a gunpoint carjacking near Red Hook on Monday night.

The man said that he was walking in the area of Red Hook in the vicinity of the Fruit Stand when a masked man came running towards him with a gun pointed at him.

The man reported to police about 6:58 p.m. that he was ordered to get into his vehicle, as he pointed the gun at him and directed him to drive to his residence. He continued by stating that when they arrived at his residence the masked man took his jewelry, his wallet and an undisclosed amount of cash.

The man then concluded by stating that the male then ordered him to drive him to the area of Brookman road, where he ran in an unknown direction.
