Mario Huggins Shot To Death Near Bovoni Housing In Rock City STT

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — On Friday February 10, 2017 at approximately 11:20p.m., several citizens called 911 and reported several shots being fired in the area of Bovoni Housing Community.  Citizens also reported a vehicle colliding into the bushes in the vicinity of building D.

Shortly thereafter, a citizen called 911 and reported that they were travelling to the Schneider Regional Medical Center with a gunshot victim.

The victim was identified as 23-year-old Mario Huggins of Bovoni Housing Community.

The victim sustained at least one gunshot wound to the upper body and succumbed to his injury at the Schneider Regional Medical Center.
