James Lealand “J.J.” Johnston Jr., 64, was taken into police custody based on an arrest warrant issued by a Magistrate Judge of the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands charging him with unlawful sexual contact in the first degree, the Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD) said.

The victim reported the incident took place on March 25, 2017, according to the VIPD.

Johnston’s bail was set at $100,000.00.  Unable to post bail, he was remanded to the Golden Grove Detention Center.
