VIPD: St. Thomas’ Wingrove Clarke Arrested On Charges Of First-Degree Rape

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — On Friday, June 2, 2017 at about 9:21 p.m., officers were present at the Eldra Schulterbrandt Facility in Estate Tutu, in reference to a sexual assault.

Contact was made with the suspect who was transported to the Criminal Investigation Bureau; during the process the suspect waived his rights and was interviewed. The suspect admitted to sexually assaulting an individual.

59-year-old Wingrove Clarke was placed under arrest and with charged 1st Degree Rape. Bail was set at $85,000.00, unable to post bail he was remanded to Bureau of Corrections Detention Center, pending his advice of rights hearing.
