St. Croix Man’s Suicide Leads Police To Discover Indoor Marijuana Farm In Barren Spot

CHRISTIANSTED — Police say that a 43-year-old St. Croix man committed suicide in Barren Spot on Saturday.

Linton Eddy was identified at the scene in Barren Spot by his brother, the Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD) said.

On Saturday July 29, 2017 The 911 Emergency Call Center received a call from a citizen at 7:35 a.m., for assistance regarding a man down at Barren Spot.

When police arrived they found an unresponsive man on the ground in the rear of the yard with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

A search was conducted of his home for any suicide notes which was negative however the search revealed an indoor marijuana farm which was confiscated.
