DON’T DO ME LIKE THAT! St. Croix Sex Therapist Charged With Attempted Murder

FREDERIKSTED — A St. Croix woman who works as a “night nurse” was arrested Friday on attempted murder charges after a severe stabbing incident in May, the Virgin Islands Free Press has learned.

Tasha Matthews, 33, of Estate Coble was arrested by police and charged with second-degree murder after an arrest warrant was issued by a Superior Court Magistrate Judge.

Police said that they were alerted to a report of a stabbing in Estate Coble by the 911 Emergency Call Center at about 11:28 a.m. on May 22, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

Police spoke to the unidentified “John,” the male customer of alleged prostitute Matthews who told police that he was stabbed multiple times at Matthews’ home after going there for her sexual services, according to the VIPD.

A subsequent police investigation found that Matthews would not perform a sex act that the John had requested and was so outraged by the suggestion — that she went off on him — rather than allowing him to get off on her.

The disagreement became violently physical and the man ended up being stabbed several times because of his untoward suggestion.

“The injuries the victim sustained were so severe that they required surgery,” the VIPD was quoted as saying.

Bail for Matthews was set at $75,000. Unable to post bail, she was remanded to the custody of the Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility.

On social media, Matthews claimed that she worked at McDonald’s on St. Croix.

Police would not divulge what Matthews allegedly used to stab her “John.”

St. Croix is famous throughout the Caribbean for the “rough trade” sex acts performed in the gay and straight communities here.

All individuals listed as arrested or charged with a crime in this report are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
