VETERANS DAY 2017: The Tributes Will Go On In St. Thomas and St. Croix … With A Special Dedication To Female Veterans In The Territory

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — As a part of the annual Veterans Day activities throughout the Virgin Islands, this year the V.I. Office of Veterans Affairs and American Legion District 10 will honor female veterans in the territory.

Maj. Kathleen Parris of the V.I. National Guard is being honored as the parade marshal and guest speaker on St. Croix.

On the island of St. Thomas, Sergeant First Class Laurel Maloon-Francis will be honored as the parade marshal, according to the release.

Serving as guest speaker on the island of St. Thomas will be former military spouse Monique Y. Ferrell, director of the Army Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention Program, according to the release.

Veterans Day parades in the territory are scheduled as follows:
