TUCSON — Arizona police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide after a man and woman were found inside a south side home Thursday.
Officers responded to the home in a neighborhood where homes sell for $145,000 to $160,000.
The deceased female was identified as 22-year-old Jazmine Willock of St. Croix. The deceased male was identified as 27-year-old Taris Ford-Dillard. Next of kin has been notified.
Police say an employer called 911 worried about an employee after Willock failed to show up for work.
According to police, when the female didn’t answer, officers went inside the home and that’s when they found the woman and a man each dead from gunshot wounds.
Police say it appears the man shot and killed the woman first before taking his own life.
The two had been in a relationship and lived at the home together.
Willock was a graduate of St. Croix Country Day School and a successful athlete.
Her father George Willock has established a GoFundMe page to try to raise $15,000 for his daughter’s funeral.
“No parent should have to plan their child’s funeral,” Willock said.
Those interested in supporting the Willock family can do so via the GoFundMe page (https://www.gofundme.com/memorial-jazmine-carolann-willock) or via PayPal (by sending to willockgeorge@gmail.com).
The investigation is ongoing. Police are asking anyone with information to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
