FREDERIKSTED — Police on St. Croix are looking for 39-year-old Jimmy Davis, who is wanted in connection with a second-degree assault and battery-domestic violence.
Davis is considered armed and dangerous, the Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD) said.
He is 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighs about 220 pounds and has a light complexion and a very low haircut, according to the VIPD.
Davis frequents the Estate Whim, Estate Profit, Estate Harvey and Estate Williams Delight areas.
The VIPD did not provide any details on the alleged assault.
Jimmy Davis was sentenced to 30 years in prison in January 2002 for shooting at a vehicle that contained four people, including a 4-month-old infant.
On April 18, 2002 a Superior Court jury found Davis guilty on six charges in the December 2001 shooting. The judge ordered that Davis was not supposed to be released from prison until he was 40 years old.
Davis opened fire about noon Dec. 23, 2001, on a Chevrolet truck driven by Sean Francis that was stopped in traffic on an Estate Whim road.
Francis’ girlfriend, Erica Parrilla; their four-month-old infant; and Francis’ friend, Sean Petrus, also were in the truck at the time of the shooting.
Davis was arrested Jan. 3 and charged with four counts of first- degree assault, one count of reckless endangerment and one count of possession of an unlicensed firearm during the commission of a crime of violence.
