CHARLOTTE AMALIE — Beginning on February 12, 2018, the Committee to Elect Soraya Diase Coffelt Governor said it will launch a broad-ranging media campaign introducing Soraya’s vision to the people of the Virgin Islands.

Her vision is centered on transforming the Virgin Islands into the economic powerhouse and leader in the Caribbean and becoming the number one place to live, work, and visit in the Caribbean, Diase said.

“Not only will I be sharing my transformational vision, but I will also start to share details of my five-part Putting the People FIRST strategic plan that I have had since I announced my candidacy in May last year,” Soraya said.

Additionally, Soraya said: “Transforming the Virgin Islands will require more than a greater number of air flights or even spending monies provided to us by the Federal government. It must start by putting the interests of the people first and end when we have fundamentally transformed the inner workings of the Government of the Virgin Islands, eliminating all corruption, and bringing back trust through financial accountability and total transparency to the people of the Virgin Islands.

As I pledge in my media messages, I will:
Fight for our families – our children, fathers & mothers;
Ignite our tourism industry through diversification and investment;
Rebuild our business community;
Strengthen our critical public services; and
Transform the inner-workings of our government so that the people can trust their
government.”
