First-Ever ‘Topless Optional’ Cruise Set To Premier in Mexican Caribbean in 2020

MIAMI — If you’re someone who books a cruise to let your hair down — whether that means partying with a cocktail or several, hitting the nightclubs, throwing your hands up in the air as you zip down a waterslide, or even seeking out a romantic fling a la The Love Boat — then we come bearing good news.

Temptation Cancun Resort, known for its adult-centric, topless-optional all-inclusives, announced that its hotel concept will now be hitting the high seas with the first-ever, topless-optional cruise.

Temptation Caribbean Cruise, a five-night voyage, will depart from Tampa, Florida in February 2020 and include calls in Mexico and Grand Cayman.

Brace yourself for exhilarating theme nights, live performances, and energetic pool parties where DJs spin. Given the provocative nature on-board, the vessel will only welcome adults 21 and over.

Those who aren’t keen on stripping down can take solace in the fact that only certain areas are topless-optional, specifically all pools, sundecks, and designated events. Appropriate attire is required in all dining facilities and other sections that are not clearly marked as topless-optional.

The cruise’s operator, Original Group, previously made headlines with a racy couples-only, clothing-optional cruise called the Azamara Quest in Europe.

“With a history spanning over 40 years as Cancun’s number one adult-centric resort and following the completion of a recent multimillion-dollar renovation project, Temptation has become a must-visit destination for high-energy travellers in search of a carefree atmosphere and quality services,” Rodrigo de la Pena, chief executive officer of Original Group, said in a statement.

“Our new Temptation Caribbean Cruise is part of an ambitious global plan to continue expanding and establishing ourselves as the leader of the adult travel industry worldwide.”

The floating 2,148-passenger playground will feature 1,074 staterooms and suites, plus an array of amenities, including two pools, seven restaurants, a coffee shop, a 40-foot rock-climbing wall, a spa, a fitness center, and a casino. Bars, lounges, and other high-energy hot spots throughout the ship offer more pockets to mingle with other free-spirited holiday-makers.

So are you ready to throw caution (and clothing) to the wind, and enjoy the benefit of no tan lines?
