CHRISTIANSTED — The Virgin Islands Territorial Emergency Management Agency (VITEMA) said it will be launching its new website tomorrow.

“The new website has been designed to offer the ultimate user-friendly experience with improved navigation and functionality,” VITEMA said.

“VITEMA’s newly redesigned website will provide its users quick and easy access to essential emergency preparedness and response information. The website’s clean and uncluttered design also has features that offer a more comprehensive understanding of the Agency’s services along with extensive information to help customers understand VITEMA’s mission and purpose.”

“We are truly excited about our NEW website launch and the robust information it provides for customers, partners and media to better prepare for, and respond to disasters. We believe that our site will allow visitors to have a very informative experience as we continue to grow, administer and coordinate All-Hazards response and recovery operations in the territory,” said VITEMA Director, Mona Barnes. “We would like to thank the community for your patience as we transition and roll out the new website. We would also like to thank the website’s developers OmniSystems Inc. for their hard work in helping us to meet the needs of the territory,” said Director Barnes.

“The community will have access to the new VITEMA website at www.vitema.vi.gov at 3:00 PM, Friday, May 11, 2018.”
