CHARLOTTE AMALIE – Governor Kenneth Mapp said that he invites and encourages St. John residents to share their ideas, concerns and hear from local officials in regard to recovery efforts and other matters affecting the island at a Town Hall meeting set for 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2018.

Governor Mapp said he will be accompanied by representatives from the Virgin Islands Police Department, Education, Human Services, Public Works, Health, and Agriculture, along with VITEMA.

The V.I. Waste Management Authority will also be in attendance to provide updates and answer questions. Topics to be discussed include modular classrooms, road projects, emergency medical services, debris and hurricane preparedness.

“As the territory undertakes massive rebuilding, it is critical that St. Johnians remain a part of the conversation,” Mapp said. “We have many major initiatives underway and on the horizon and I look forward to a very productive discussion.”

The Town Hall will be held at the St. John Legislative Annex in the Cleone Henrietta Creque Conference Room.
