SUDDEN DEATH: St. Thomas Man Hangs Himself With A Belt At Lindbergh Bay Beach Today

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — A man living on St. Thomas hanged himself with a belt at the Lindbergh Bay beach early this morning, authorities said.

The Virgin Islands Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit traveled to that beach at 6:45 a.m. today to investigate a report of a hanging there.

Police said that they found an unresponsive Caucasian male hanging from a belt on an iron bar rail.

The VIPD said they observed no signs of foul play at the scene.

The dead man, whose identity police withheld pending next of kin notification, was transported to the Schneider Regional Medical Center’s morgue.
