Accused Murderer K'Moi Corraspe Thumbs His Nose At VIDOJ While Awaiting Trial

CHARLOTTE AMALIE —  A St. Thomas inmate who was called “the Virgin Islands Most Wanted Fugitive” before his capture in September 2016 on murder charges has been arrested on a warrant while sitting in jail awaiting trial.

Authorities said that K’Moi J. Corraspe, 24, was arrested at 12:50 p.m. on June 23 on a single charge of promoting dangerous prison contraband, the Virgin Islands Territorial Emergency Management Agency (VITEMA) said.

Although Corraspe is in jail awaiting trial charged with the murder of Kadeem John on December 10, 2015, his bail was set at $100,000, according to VITEMA.

Corraspe flew from St. Thomas to New York eight days after John was killed here.

He has been awaiting his “speedy trial” in the territory for almost two years since his capture.

No comment from V.I. Attorney General Claude Earl Walker.
