CHARLOTTE AMALIE — A man who was captured on video surveillance entering a St. Thomas business in the early morning hours Thursday was arrested the next day by police.
George Anthony Joseph, 45, was arrested at 1:27 p.m. Friday and charged with second-degree burglary, the Virgin Islands Police Department spokesman Glen Dratte said.
Joseph was spotted on surveillance footage entering Above and Below Marine Services at Frydenhoj at 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, according to the VIPD.
Police said that Joseph entered the business through a window of the business while the building was locked and secured.
According to the police report, Joseph was arrested at his residence by officers from Newton Command and then taken to the Richard Callwood Command where he was advised of his rights.
Unable to post $50,000 bail, Joseph was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections (BOC) pending an advice-of-rights hearing in court.
