CHARLOTTE AMALIE — A St. Thomas man is recovering from stab wounds after he was attacked in Estate Nadir on Thursday night.
Police went to the Schneider Regional Medical Center about 11:35 p.m. Thursday to interview the victim of the attack.
The man told told police at the hospital that he was taking a short-cut on foot through Nadir Circle when an unknown black male approached him, brandishing a knife.
Without any provocation, the man said the suspect stabbed him four times in the body, before fleeing the area on foot.
The man said that he was able to walk home despite his injuries where a friend agreed to take him to the emergency room for treatment.
A police spokesman said that the man was treated for the injuries he sustained that night and remains in intensive care.
There was no official police press release on this incident and no further information was available.
