VIWMA Advises St. Thomas and St. John About Solid Waste Pickup Delays

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) Preserving Paradise Team advises the St. Thomas and St. John community that there has been a delay in the collection of municipal solid waste in the following districts:

St. Thomas House-to-House (H2H or curbside) collection service:
▪ Old Tutu
▪ Anna’s Retreat & Parry Road
▪ Tutu Valley
▪ New Tutu/Lime Street
▪ Hidden Valley

St. John curbside bin collection service:
▪ Coral Bay
▪ Cruz Bay

They said the delay is due to the mechanical breakdown of the contractor’s equipment. The authority
said that it is working expeditiously to get solid waste collection services back on schedule.

The VIWMA Preserving Paradise Team continues to work diligently to provide reliable services and would like to thank the community for their patience and cooperation.
