WANTED BY THE FBI, U.S. MARSHALS SERVICE, VIPD: PAUL “BOGUS” GIRARD, 30, OF ST. CROIX
FREDERIKSTED — The FBI is still looking for accused armed robber Paul “Bogus” Girard.
Virgin Islands Police Department spokesman Glen Dratte said today that the reward money it is offering for information leading to the arrest and capture of Girard is now $20,000. Crimestoppers USVI put up $10,000 and “anonymous donors” the rest, Dratte said.
Girard, 30, of Estate Strawberry is wanted for escaping from the Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility on St. Croix. The news that Girard had escaped was brought to the public’s attention on October 22.
Girard is described by police as being a male with a brown complexion who stands 6-foot, 2-inches tall and weighs about 210 pounds. He wears long black locks, has brown eyes and has a distinctive tattoo on his left shoulder with the name “Linda” on it.
If you see Girard you are warned not to try to apprehend or approach him as he is considered armed and dangerous.

Police did not say when Girard escaped from custody.
He was indicted by the federal government with two other men on October 2 of this year for armed robberies of jewelry stores on St. Thomas that took place in August and September of 2015.
