Kahlil Wilson Captured By Police As He Was Trying To Board Flight To Mainland

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — Police stopped wanted man Kahlil Wilson at Cyril E. King Airport on Thursday before he could board a flight to the U.S. mainland.

Wilson, 27, of St. Croix is a person of interest in the murder of 34-year-old Joseph Brow at Coconut Nightclub in Mount Pleasant on January 1.

On Thursday, Wilson aka “Jahlil James” was detained on St. Thomas pursuant to a National Crime Information Center (NCIC) warrant, police said.

Wilson is charged with accessory after the fact of a murder, according to the VIPD. His bail was originally $25,000.00, but after he was advised of his rights, his bail was increased to $50,000.00.

He is currently being held at the Alexander Farrelly Correctional Facility in St. Thomas.

Jahkim Santiago, 27, is still at large and the VIPD said it is a crime for anyone to harbor him while he is wanted by police. 

He is also wanted for questioning in the murder of Brow.
