Virgin Islands and 11 Other Caribbean Countries Felt 3.4 Magnitude Earthquake On Sunday Morning

ROAD TOWN, Tortola – The U.S. Virgin Islands and at least 11 other Caribbean countries were were unsettled by a magnitude 3.4 earthquake early on Sunday.

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) said that at 7:29 a.m. the tremor affected Anguilla, Antigua, the British Virgin Islands, Dominica, St. Martin, Sint Maarten, Guadeloupe, Montserrat, Puerto Rico, St. Kitts and Nevis, Antigua and Barbuda, Anguilla and St. Barthelemy.

The USGS reports that the earthquake was located about 48 miles NNE of Road Town in the British Virgin Islands at a depth of 54 miles.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
