Inner Harbor Vessels Must Move Their Boats To Make Room For Six Cruise Ships

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — The Virgin Islands Port Authority says that St. Thomas will welcome six cruise ships tomorrow.

“There will be a ship anchored in the inner harbor.” the authority said.

Boat owners anchored in the inner harbor of St. Thomas are asked to move their vessels by 11:59 p.m. today, according to VIPA.

People with vessels who do not comply with this directive could be subject to fines and vessel arrest, the authority said.

This alert applies to vessels achored at Anchorages A-1, A-3 and A-4, VIPA said.

“The Virgin Islands Port Authority thanks all vessel owners in advance for complying with this directive,” it said.

The six ships scheduled to dock in St. Thomas are: Carnival Glory, Celebrity Equinox, Celebrity Infinity, MSC Seaside, Royal Princess and Symphony of the Seas.
