Lutheran Social Services Hosts Play And Learn Tent At 48th Annual Agriculture Fair

St. Croix Senator Allison Lisa DeGazon buys raffle tickets from youngsters in Estate Lower Love on Saturday.

FREDERIKSTED — The Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands and Lutheran Social Services of the Virgin Islands invite children and families to visit their Play & Learn Tent at the 48th Annual Agricultural and Food Fair today and Monday at the Fairgrounds in Lower Love.

The Play & Learn Tent is designed to encourage children and parents to engage together in play and developmentally appropriate activities.

This year’s event will emphasize hands-on activities such as slime-making and flower painting to promote learning through fun.

Early childhood professionals from LSSVI’s Early Head Start Program will guide children and their parents through the activities.

Make sure you get your “Talk at the Fair” handout! Available in both English and Spanish, this guide provides prompts for families with children to talk about what they see and do at the Fair! Families who return a completed “Talk at the Fair” handout will be entered for a raffle prize. Also, CFVI’s annual Fatherhood Collaborative t-shirts will be available for pick-up by fathers.
